I haven’t touched the Samtiq since I finished animating my short film, but recently I got asked for some shots of the back of the Samtiq so they could see how it’s put together. I must admit the front looks a lot better than the back but here are some shot anyway:
Some still images from the film:
Here are more shots of my setup:
In order to finish the Paint on Glass component of my film I converted my shed into a dark room and using a makeshift animation stand I have done six and a half minutes of Paint on Glass animation. Here is a shot of the shed, more to come soon.
Here are some shots of some pottery pieces that I have done in the past couple of weeks. The cup was glazed by my partner Heike.
My film Kaulah has won the Best Use of Sound Award at the RMIT AIM 2007 Graduate Screenings. Credit goes to Markus Kellow for his skills in both music composition and sound effects creation.
I would also like to thank Soundcorp and in particular Tristan Miller for supporting AIM by offering this award and also the staff at AIM for organizing it all.
I am very happy to say that my film Kaulah has been selected for screening at the AIM Graduate Screening. It has been a very competitive year and I feel sad for all the students who missed out but I am sure there will be a second screening at some stage.
The music and sound effects for my film were done by Markus Kellow, and it is true that sound is 50% of any film, thanks Markus.
Here is an almost final fine cut of the rough animation of my film “Kaulah”:
Here’s the animatic for the new short film that I am animating right now.
My minor project The Blind Caterpillar which is a 2 1/2 min hand-animated film completed in 5 weeks has been selected for Kinofest which is taking place in Bucharest in Oct.
